The Media Harbour

This part of Düsseldorf has transformed a part of the Rhine River that runs through the city to a nice harbor. There are a lot of business buildings and company capitals around the harbor for a nice view added to the architecture of the buildings. The media harbor is also one of the most beautiful sites in all of Düsseldorf because of the architecture, mixture of boats, and the beautiful water from the Rhine combining together.

History of Düsseldorf

Modern Day Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf was founded during the Roman Empire in the 7th and 8th centuries, farming settlements settled along the Rhine, these villages were going to become what we now know as Düsseldorf. Later, in 1288, the village was elevated to city status, but a war broke out on who would control it, until the Bergs controlled it. In the 14th century, it making a market central, open for vast trading opportunities. In WWII, Düsseldorf sustained heavy damage from allied bombings, but underwent repairs after the war was over and when Germany's economy recovered. Now it has thrived into a metropolis, high in business and marketing, kind of like Pittsburgh that is not hooked on the Stealers. Today, Düsseldorf has a high standard of living, and if citizens recommend a place to live in Germany, Düsseldorf would definitely be high on their list. Altstadt is a region in Düsseldorf which is also known as "the world's longest bar" to citizens and visitors. This part of the city is older compared to the rest, which is why it presents old-style breweries and many classic restaurants. Many citizens go to Altsadt to go crazy in bars or to try out Altsadalt's signature beer (drinking beer if fairly popular in Germany). This is definitely marked as a spot to explore for many tourists. The place is decked with classic churches, narrow streets, public pubs, and old fashioned breweries!

About Düsseldorf

New word: Fernsehturm, which means: Television Tower
Two beautiful Düsseldorf buildings
Out of all the places in Germany (Deutschland), the one place that stood out to me the most was Düsseldorf. I was mainly interested in this place because of its awesome name and what the city sights have to offer when you visit it. Düsseldorf is one of Germany's wealthiest cities, due to its high value in business and marketing as companies quickly thrive in Düsseldorf. With this wealth, Düsseldorf boasts elegant shops and well designed buildings. The city also features many bars, clubs, and a beautiful view can be viewed from the television tower, the city's tallest building which guarantees a whole view of the city from above. Düsseldorf's architecture is mixed with different areas, with the media harbor being the most modernized. Some buildings are a mix of both present and past architecture, making them look all the more eye-catching. The architecture is meant to symbolize opportunity in a way for the viewer. Interesting to you? Well there's more!
Beyond metropolis Düsseldorf, there are many parks, a castle, and an area dedicated to unique architecture.
